Guitar, Ukulele & Bass Lessons
Regardless of age, skill level, or musical preference, our main objective is to make playing and learning guitar a fun and exciting experience while giving students the skills needed to become a proficient musician.
Beginners will learn to execute important guitar basics such as tuning, changing strings, and the functions of electric vs. acoustic instruments. Students at this level will build a strong foundation in proper technique, ear training, and the fundamentals of reading music notation and music theory. We will begin to lay the ground work necessary for students to play the music that they enjoy while learning guitar fundamentals.
Intermediate to advanced students will discuss their individual goals with their instructor who will guide them through the various playing styles, practice routines and methods needed to perform and understand the music that interests and inspires them.
For those students who are interested in utilizing guitar, ukulele, or electric bass as a songwriting tool, lessons will be similarly structured to Intermediate and advanced lessons. There will be an emphasis on specialized topics such as finding your signature playing style and tone, the songwriting structure and process, building good habits as a musician, as well as an increased focus on music theory.
